OOAK fairy sculptures by doll artist Kathleen Engelen
Kathleen Engelen has created extraordinary fairy sculptures since
she was a child.
Her fairies are an expression of an emotion, an inner vision and they reflect
a feminine and illusive sense in a unique style.
They symbolize serenity and vulnerability and their wings reflect an urge
for freedom. For the moonlight is her main inspiration source, the colours
are very soft and delicate or dark as the night itself.
These Spirits of nature come with their message from the
other world, that can only be heard by the heart.
A while ago, I received a beautiful french poem from my dear friend, Aude Berger. She collects one of a kind dolls and she wrote a book about her collection in 2008. Thanks so much, Aude, for this beautiful poem...
I put pictures of freya on her page, feel free to have a look...

6 August 2009: Back from the Dubai Doll Art Exhibition
I had a great time in Dubai, it was an exciting adventure. There was an
amazing exhibition with 15 artists from all over the world, it was such
a fun group. There was a lot of interest showing, not only from the visitors,
but als by the press. The last sunday there was even a visit from a VVVIP,
Sjeik Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan van Abu Dhabi, a very kind man. You can
see some pictures here.
